We are an organization of residents, property owners and friends of Lake Edward, located in Crow Wing County, Minnesota. Our singular purpose is to ensure the health and enjoyment of Lake Edward and its fisheries for all of us, and for generations to come.
The Lake Edward District Conservation Club, Inc. was formed and officially incorporated in 1949. Its primary focus at that time was to enhance the fishing and hunting for the residents on and around the lake and to support those enforcing game laws.
In 1994, the organization was reactivated and a new board elected. The name was changed - It is now officially Lake Edward Conservation Club, Inc. (LECC) and annual reports are filed with the Minnesota Secretary of State. Membership is for those living on the lake permanently or part time and for those interested persons living in the area or using the lake.
The LECC essentially functions as a lake association. The member-elected, volunteer LECC board members plan & complete projects, partner with government agencies to promote our fisheries and lake health, and represent our members' interests both locally and regionally.
Two meetings are held each year along with social events. The annual membership meeting is held in June and an open board meeting is held in August. Attendance at meetings and social events is encouraged and welcomed!
